The Main Street House B & B is located in the
heart of Ouray's National Historic District and within walking distance
of fine restaurants, unique gift shops, Box Canyon Falls, Cascade
Falls, the Museum and Ouray's Hot Springs Pool.
The bed and breakfast is a turn-of-the-century
residence, which has been renovated, and a newer accommodation, The
Chipeta Cottage, located at the back of the property. The Main Street
House, as well as the cottage, accommodates singles, couples, and families.

The house is a renovated, turn-of-the-century
residence which consists of two suites,
each with a distinct decor and modern conveniences.
All units offer spectacular views of the San Juan Mountains
with private decks, and all units have private baths
and satellite television.

Ouray, rightfully named the "Gem of the Rockies,"
is sheltered by the rugged San Juan Mountains. It is a remarkable paragon
with its natural hot springs, cascading waterfalls and the most spectacular
mountain peaks in Colorado.
When you visit Ouray, you will step into a world
of visual splendor and back into the Victorian era. There are not
many historic mountain towns which can boast of the complete quaintness that
Ouray still retains.

decor of the suite and its private deck. The suite occupies the back half of the upstairs.
It has a modern, fully-equipped kitchen and a spacious dining area. The living area is furnished
with a queen bed, futon, wicker chair, and television. The bathroom has a shower/tub. Sleeps two. |

The Mt. Abram Room
Located on the second floor, this cozy room's Western decor and photos
by Paul and Becky has a private deck that overlooks Ouray's Main Street and a view of the
12,000 foot Ampitheater. A private bath (shower), queen bed, and television make this a perfect
room for two. Breakfast is provided in the inkeeper's suite. Sleeps two. |

Breakfast is served in the Taos Room, which is decorated in
vibrant Southwestern colors. It also serves as a sitting room for guests,
where they can play games, work a puzzle, read a book from the many titles we
offer, or pick up a video or DVD for viewing in their room, There is also a
microwave for guest use. |

This cozy housekeeping cottage, decorated in colorful, Southwest style,
is named for Chief Ouray's wife, Chipeta. The modern, fully-equipped kitchen
and the bathroom are on the main floor, while the second floor is furnished with
two queen beds, two built-in children's beds, easy chairs, love seat, and television.
The second floor windows and the walk-out deck provide a spectacular view of the San Juan
Mountains. Sleeps four adults, two children. Breakfast is not included in this unit. Guests
can bring whatever food supplies they desire.

- Ask about our 2 night midweek (Sun-Thur, excepting July) special. $179 covers 2
nights in the Abram Room, plus taxes. Add $40 for the Hayden Suite or the Chipeta Cottage, plus taxes.
- Rates in the main house are based on double occupancy with a $10 charge for each additional
person; the rate in the Chipeta Cottage is based on 4 people and each additional person is $10.

- Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- Sorry, no lions, tigers, alligators, or other pets.
- Children welcome in The Chipeta Cottage.
- No smoking anywhere on the property. Smoke tries to get into the house, even from outside,
many people are bothered by it, and it is very difficult to remove. $25 is charged for violation of this.
- We serve full, freshly-cooked breakfasts.
- We have a video, book and game library.

Reservation Policies
- A 50% deposit is required to confirm a
reservation and must be received within 14 days of the booking.
The balance is due upon arrival.
- Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved,
regardless of actual arrival or departure date, unless we are notified
of the change 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policies
- Cancellations received 30 days prior to arrival will receive a
full refund - less a $20 handling fee.
- Cancellations received from 7 to 30 days prior to arrival will receive
a 50% refund - less a $20 handling fee.
- If cancellations are less than 7 days from arrival date, the
deposit will be forfeited.
